My point is... if what you are saying is correct, a piggyback connected to the AFM signal could never alter the a/f ratio at WOT which clearly is not the case.
I've tuned I don't know how many 951's using piggyback on the AFM signal.
Another point, if what you and Russell says were correct the a/f ratios on a stock car would differ TREMENDOUS at 2-3000 rpm depening on gear. Either off the chart rich on lower gears (no boost) or detonation lean at higher gears (boost pressure in the lower range).
Saying that the air metering device at WOT isn't needed is like a big joke.
Anyway, the Scivision MAF-kit seems like a nice solution for engines with minor mods.

You're probably talking about the AFM correction table (see attached)? With this table and fooling the AFM signal you could indeed move the whole WOT injection map up and down. Like switching the FQS.
But since the AFM signal is damped by the DME and the correction table is very linear, it would be difficult to finetune the WOT injection table detailed. Can't say - never did it that way.
I did not say that the AFM is not necessary at WOT. It is just that the WOT injection table does not depend on the AFM signal.

Is this kit mainly aimed at people trying to use the stock airbox for stealth look but still get some performance gain over the OEM AFM or is this a viable competitor to say a Lindsey Racing MAF. How does this unit compare to the LR Stage II MAF. Are you limited to the mods you can do with this such as bigger turbos. Seems to be a good quality unit though.

MAXhpkit Scivision MAF Promotion
As stated above, the units are on their way. I anticipate delivery of the first 15 units by mid August, at which point I will begin shipping.
I am going to begin taking orders NOW, the order form is active on my website at http://www.maxhpkit.com. Click on the Rennlist link at the bottom left of the page. This will not be the typical 30 day promotion, this will be a promotion on the first 15 units only. So do not delay.
I have taken this route because I was going to only order 10 units initially, but have already received more than 10 requests. So the initial order will be 15 units.
If the 15 units are pre-ordered prior to Monday, July 30th, I will increase the order to 20, and 5 more units will be made available on the promotion. Then that is it, we will be going to the regular retail price.
Again, promotional pricing is as follows:
Scivision MAF alone: $750.00 USD
Scivision MAF w/chips: $949.00 USD
both +15.00 S/H
Regular pricing will be:
Scivision MAF alone: $775.00 USD
Scivision MAF w/chips: $999.00 USD
Thank you again for your continued Support.
Regards,
Russell

Point of clarity here. Several people have asked about the 'Promax MAF'. The MAF is made by Scivision, and the brainchild of our own Transaxle. Promax used to carry the Scivision, but did not develop it. Neither this unit nor my products have any affilitation with Promax. I only point this out because I'm receiving several emails and messages regarding Promax chips and other products.
I've received other questions regarding the plumbing for this MAF kit, you do not have to use the stock air box adapter, it is included for ease of installation. If you want to plumb in a cold air intake configuration with a cone filter you may do so.

Russell

Anyone ever tried the 968 MAF for our car?
