Yes it did, he updates me about the car, and I answer his questions. We are still in phone/email contact and I couldn't be happier someone in the right time of life could finish my project properly.

Im still doing ok with my little civic:

When i made that calc, that included my purchase price of 9 for the car, all maint (that motor has new seals everywhere except the rear main, and piston rings. has new bearings etc etc. You dont know the amount of parts i have replaced. I also calculated tires, brakes and all that BS. You'd be surprised how much replacing **** nickel and dimes you. The head alone was 1200. (not including the head gasket, new intake and exhaust studs, etc etc etc. head reseal kit and labor (and then the 2nd widefire that i bought after pulling the head offagain before starting it)... I didnt buy everything second hand, for example that zeitronix. (550+, i actually organized a group buy on it) The seats, and a few other things were all new. I drove to Auto power and paid cash for the roll bar. Anything maint etc etc was new OEM porsche. That turbo was new, and the injectors, just purchased from someone, not the shop.

Eyal, Ya need to update your avatar with your Civic aren't those about your speed?

Your Avatar still represents a car you no longer posses. You should change it to a photograph of the car you now own, which is a Honda Civic. The Honda Civic is a vehicle much more easily worked on than a Porsche 944 Turbo.

Man, 25 large into a none running car huh? Wrench turner extraordinaire there.

The process of spending $25,000 USD on a car that you did not have in operating condition upon it's sale (for what it was) indicates that your skill level as a mechanic is not very proficient.

Better?

As long as I have been on this board you have posted as if you are an expert on the care, maintenance and modification of these vehicles. It has been my experience that you are not. So I find it a good thing that you have parted company with the car and it is now in the hands of someone, way more capable.

My very short dealings with you taught me to take with a large grain of Salt the information learned here or at least to verify that information. What is it Jeremy says (and I hope it's ok to quote him here with out express permission)

"WARNING: Be careful of the advice you accept......There are idiots lurking among us."

So in that respect I will actually say "thank you" to you for that small, painful, education.

Now let me apologize for the brief hijacking of this thread and heard it back on topic of the "Truth about Vitesse Racing."

John, Your are Aces. Can't say enough good about your products and the lightening fast customer service responses. Hell I was emailing John from the track with symptoms and he was diagnosing (correctly) what was wrong on a Saturday night no less. I am just glad he was near his computer.

Thanks again,

IPSC

I gotta get me some of them "Vitesse inside" stickers

ICSP: Thanks for the compliments. But i must add, i would not have been able to get this car where it is if it hadn't been for the hours i spend of the phone, sorting things out with Eyal.

I think that fact he could not get this car finished was due to his life being to busy & not a true representation of his mechanical skills.

I've definitly heard mixed reviews on Eyal from time to time, but every experience i have had with him has been honest & accurate. AND I"VE NEVER EVEN MET HIM IN PERSON !

I think this is a good example that owning a car like this when your are a teenage is is not the most rational idea. You buy the car because you love it, & you put Thousands of dollars into it without question. You never make your money back & all you are left with are the experiences you had & the knowledge you gained.

If anyone wants to know how to pass Cali smog PM me! The details are a little too raw for the public forum. Let's just say that through a combination on bribery, forgery, and fraud anything is possible.

I have no scruples about cheating this particular system! The standard oxidation catalytic converter converts CO into CO2. Yes, that means that your catalytic converter is a prime contributor to the nonsense that some people call global warming. Until the feds and "scientists" can actually agree what needs to come out of my tailpipe, I will continue to make my own decisions!

Rumors, that's all! I wish I can plan a sale event a year in advance. There are many new items in the work, stay tuned.
