Wow, I wouldn't have believed it? What size are those rears? Wasn't there a crossover in '87 from small offset to large?

I'm sorry I could only drop about 25K on that thing on a students budget to get the car to the point where all he had to do was install wheels, suspension and a lip, and you all jizz yourselves.

I rescued that car, Jake enjoys the benefits of mostly my hard work.

Careful about what your typing in public forums.

I'm SOOOO glad I have money in my ameritrade account, and have a bright future. We're both glad, so worked out well for everyone.

Yes it did, he updates me about the car, and I answer his questions. We are still in phone/email contact and I couldn't be happier someone in the right time of life could finish my project properly.

Im still doing ok with my little civic:

25k and it still wasn't running when you sold it? You did the right thing getting rid of it. A student with no income and a money pit that never ran, you got out in time I hope.

Let me make a bold assumption and bet that you don't have $25k in your account from the sale of the car though?

I've spent about $5000 to get this car where it is.

So that means this car has $30,000 put into it.

If thats true, then this car must have a silver subframe, because i sure don't see $30k.

Eyal, you bought so many parts used, you didn't have a single receipt for anything!

Searching for info on the parts you supplied took me twice as long as it did to just install them.

I'm lucky i didn't end up with a 3000 lb paperweight.

333pg333: You are right in 87' the hubs were pushed out to make room for the ABS sensors. The rears are 18x10 w/ 265/35 falkens
I would need to roll the fender lip in order to fit 285's. i bought these off of GUN951, and i forget what the offset it, but its F'n Close, thats for sure.

Just speculation - want to make that clear, but I am having trouble seeing anything like $25k in that car when he bought it - but anything is possible.

May want to try Scottrade. I have been an active trader for 15 years and appreciate their features.

agreed, 25k and the car still had stock:
Suspension
Sway Bars
Brakes
Wheels
Headers
Innercooler
IC pipes
Transmission w/o LSD
& bottom end

So that means you spend $25k on
2nd hand turbo / zietronix / smt-5 / Injectors / Huntley MAF / strut brace
porting & a valve job
silicon hoses
BOV
tial WG
exhaust
a roll bar & some Corbeau seats.

I'm impressed this car actually runs. You've done a good job getting it on the road, and keeping it there.
