Default Steering shaft to rack hardware

Does anyone know the size of the nut and bolt that holds the steering shaft to the rack? And if it's a lock nut on there? Also is this bolt a break away bolt? (ie as a safety feature a collapsable steering wheel setup). Thanks, I bagged and tagged all of the hardware during this tear down but can't find this one...

Looks like an M8x60 is the bolt - standard hex head. No locking washer.

I used just a normal M8 bolt, but the orignal one has a section that is thinner with no threads.
When using a normal bolt I now have to have the shaft exactly lined up because it fits exactly into the groove. Before I could be out 1-2 splines before the bolt would no longer go in. I prefer it much better to the orignal bolt. Unlike you I only lost the bolt, not the nut But I replaced the 2 as a pair.

I took apart a rack and mine had a lock nut, no washer The bolt was necked a bit different than a standard one. I don't think the bolt is supposed to shear in a frontal impact; it's supposed to fold at the upper U-joint instead.
