Default Rims - what are these and what are the worth?

Craigslist buy. Wrong offset for my car (86).

Staggered. 8" and 9" if I recall.

They are "Design 90's". I'm not sure of their worth but that one looks in pretty good shape. If they are all in that shape then I'd say you could maybe get $6-700 if you wait for the right buyer. What did you pick them up for?

Just use spacers and they'll fit your '86.

reminds me of the good ole 80s 928 rims, corvettes had the same style too back then ;-)

easy to clean too!!! thats a +1 right there

I beleive they might be worth in the 600-700 range as well, but *shrugs* i wouldnt pay anything for them unless i knew i could make a profit off them, i wouldnt use them, not too fond of the style, but im sure someone is :-)

They also made a forged version that looked similar but are worth a lot more if you can find them.

The forged version are 7" fronts and 9" rears known as "Club Sports."

They also made an M030 version in 7.5" fronts and 9" rears that came stock on all 1990 and 1991 944 Turbos.

I had the 7.5's and 9's with my car when I bought it and my mechanic bought them, had them fixed up and anodized and now have them on his 928s4 which looks great!!

I had a set of those "design 90"s on my 90 928 GT. They had tire pressure monitor sensors built into each of the wheels. I loved it. The sensors alerted me to pressure drops and I was able to find and fix nail caused leaks twice before the tires ever went flat enough that I couldn't drive.

Hmmm. OK. Let me dig up the part numbers and more details. Curious to find out if they are the club sports or not.

These aren't club sport, club sports have a ridge around the wheel that the D90's do not have.
