I have a set of these, they are forged but heavy compared to Pauters and Carrillo's. On my racecar I have gone the same way as RolexNJ and bought Arrow Precision Titanium Rods but they were bloody expensive!!! Can't go that way for the road car. Arrow make Steel Rods too but they would be about $1300 at trade prices

Wössner is not only a Piston manufacturer, they also manufacture high-strength connecting rods. Manufactured from from forged 42 CrMo4 steel and using ARP bolts, their quality is second to none. The rods are sequentially-numbered as just one part part of the strict quality control process inherent in the manufacture of Wössner components.
Cheaper than Carrillo, we got them a couple of months ago and got a bit of a price break because they're new to the market here.

Comparative weights? Also there seems to be varying opinions on their pistons. Anyone have anything definitive?

I have a set of Pauters an a couple of sets of Arrow rods in stock.
The Wossners do look nice but I haven't tested a set yet.

I'll have to check our list when Jim balanced the piston/rod combo. Our piston/wrist pin combo is 53 grams lighter than stock but I'll have to check our build sheet next week when I get down to TX. Jim is on business until then too. IIRC, this combo was 69-70 grams lighter than stock assembly but don't quote me.
