Default Best 93 Octane Super unleaded?

I am currently using Chevron in my car cause it has Techron and I've noticed that it runs better as opposed to using Schell or BP, I also read that Porsche recommends it for the new Porsches, and that it has more tier than any other gas in it, what do most of you guys use? My other two second choices are Sunoco and Schell...

there's been several posts with fuel articles, "HIGHER OCTANE IS A KNOCK ADDITIVE" AND IF YOU AIN'T KNOCKING, YOU'RE PISSING MONEY AWAY.

In the factory manual it says it requires a minimum of 91 octane, and most people know that most turbo applications require 92-93 octane...

we can get 93 or 100, just not 94.

The brand of gas, when discussing a reputable company, means nothing. 93 is 93. True bargain basement gas could potentially contain more additives, but generally there is no difference. If it's the same, octane to octane, there is ZERO difference. There is no such thing as one brand being best, or even better, if it comes from one of the prominent companies.

What about the additives and detergents that differ, like Techron? If that is so, then why does Porsche recommend Chevron for their late models? What about the tier levels contained in the fuel, doesn't that mean anything?

THE BOOK IS THE BOOK AND I LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD, 93 AIN'T NECESSARY.

MAYBE GERMAN 93 IS LIKE AMERICAN 87.

as a matter of fact, Porsche recomends 98 RON. That is roughly 93 octane in America, so If the book said 93 ron, you'd be pretty close to 87 octane. Either way you are right. However, I wouldn't want to turn the boost up on 87 octane. Ofcourse that's what the knock sensor is for.

The same reason they reccomend Mobil 1,money. No; quit reading hype and bull****. The major companies don't do anything different, of any importance. Fuel additives are largely a bad thing more than a good thing ie.. as it regards detergents. Even a discount gas is almost always just as good as any other. The fact that it's potentially more likely that one could get a comprmised product from a deep discount station, is really the only legit reason to spend any more at a big name station. Race gas comes from all of the big companies, and at very similar prices. The only difference is the business relationship each company or distributor has with a specific track.
As I said, their is no best.
