Default maf sensor

I was wondering. I just picked up an autothority kit used for not too bad a price and as i was reading the instructions to instal it and i got too thinking. My friend on his subaru STI they moved his maf sensor from the intake behind the filter before the intercooler to the intake tube just before the throttle body after the intercooler. I was wondering wouldn't this be a better place to have your sensor and is it possible to move ours to the same location.

Only Hot-Wire type MAFs can be placed post-intercooler... and I don't believe there is currently any offerings that allow a 'blow-through' style setup.

I don't know, I run a MAP setup (not Link/Guru). No MAF sensor here

Perhaps Vitesse will chime in.

The MAF sensor we have been using for about 2-2.5years can be installed as "draw-through" before the turbo or as a "blow-through" after the turbo. The bullet style MAF sensors, such as the one in question here, are just "draw-through".

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to having a blow-through setup?
