Default A-Piller gauge pods

Anybody have pictures of either a lotec or other installed? If not lotec, which seperate dual gauge pod fits our pillars?

Also, which lotec finish would you recommend? Does the gloss black match the interior well?

Thanks,
Rob

This is the one LR sells. I'll get better pics tomorrow. Most are way too wide for the narrow pillar we have.

Here you go- the painted finish matches pretty close.

Kevin -- is that the Lotec unit?

Sweet944 -- How did the LR unit fit? Did you have to do much modification, and how well does it look like the pass side A-pillar?

This is an old pic taken a couple years ago. The pillar came in black but I prepped and painted it to match, which is does perfectly. It looks lighter in the pic bc of the flash. I bought this one from www.9xauto.com and the fit was exact. I was happy to see it even came with new screws and new screw covers. After a couple summers in the hot sun there has been no warping eventhough it got hot enough inside my car last summer to loosen many areas where the factory trim was glued in.

Hmm those all look like they came from the same mold to me. Mine's a Lotec ordered in OEM black. All they do is spray paint it so if you have some black already that matches, don't waste the $8. I lost one of the screw covers, but they give them away for free I just haven't ordered one yet.

I also have the LR pillar pod. My interior is black and the color/texture match is fine. The fit is also perfect. The removal/install was very easy with the exception of the the top screw on the factory pillar cover, which was wrapped under the vinyl rather than in the predrilled hole. Not exactly sure how they managed to do that but, I am sure that it was an isolated factory defect.

I have had several orders from Lindsey and each of them have been satisfactory.

Yeah, isolated in just about every 951 manufactured.

Oh, so I wasn't the only one. How in the hell did they manage to do that?

I used a panel popper tool to pry the screw loose then used a pair of needle nose pliers to back the screw out by turning the shaft(from behind the pillar cover). It was a fairly annoying task but, maybe someone can chime in with a simple solution to remove this screw.
