I think the opinion is based on similar cars with similar mods producing quite different numbers on dynos in various parts of the world. I have seen on different forums from other countries that this opinion is held. Maybe we're all just jealous.
I think everybody who thinks there is huge differences in Dyno readings US to Europe/Australia are stuck in a timewarp. Up until the late 80's most US manufacturers demanded HP readings in SAE. Hence most dyno's in US read SAE up until the late 80's and outside the major tuners probably well into the 1990's In Europe we utilised the DIN measurement of HP. Hence back in the 1950's you had street Buicks/Cadilacs et al with over 350 hp. SAE. In realirty they were nearer 250hp DIN.
As most of you know the manufacturers are trying to move away from HP to a KW measurement of power. This appears to be a globally accepted measurement and will most likely be good news for all

That's a great job you've done on your car there Doug! Should provide hours of good clean racing fun and that's what it's all about.
There are some awesome pics in this thread and even as we speak I'm trying to purchase the IFC widebody kit but it looks to be a big (read expensive) to ship down here. Love the White one above. That's Chris White's car and the panels are all metal so a very clean look.

new here on this forum and found this thread instead.
Im making wide-body molds in my workshop as we speak.
Im yust making them for myself for racing purpose, but maybe when the results are nice i can start producing
front as well as the backside are one-piece parts and do not go with the original front etc. Front and back are about 10 cm wider.
i'm also making a complete flat ground effect underbody with diffusors ant splitter. all is just matter of time, since i'm not an old man with lots of spare time
