Here is some contemporary evidence supporting my comment...

HAHA fat chance, what are they thinking? Anyway, it is a nice looking car and I'd take a peak for $15K

15k is about where the interest stops on 951s and it really has to be something special after that. Up to then it seems people will play if its truly nice. Main thing that irks me is why list a 944 for 30k and have the worst ad of all time?

This seems to be the case with hot rodding on most cars.

The seller isnt the project editor/originator, Pablo Mazmulian. He sold the car when he moved from LA to Kansas City, and the shop/ person who bought it were supposed to continue with the installments. They are the current seller.

I actually subscribed to EC solely because of "Project 951" (as Project M3 saw more than 25 installments...all of which were helpful and it got expensive to collect all 25 of those issues). Talk about a back fire on my investment some 8 installments and very unimpressive results from the $$ thrown at it later.

Would $20k be too much to ask/pay?

I see your MAF on the car for sale....i'm sure you can't go into specifics, yet, but did they get a kit?

Also, did they turn it up to a respectable boost number. I always got tired of seeing just 13psi. They spent all kinds of money and were content with low boost HP. Turn it up at least once.

They were having some problems with boost, so they turned to John for some help

Well, maybe after Karl and I get done playing with a couple of items, we can talk them into two more installments rather than the one John was referring to...

I don't like how they had two exhaust systems but didn't compare 2.5-3" equally. The first was B&B catback and headers (11hp gain) VS. Lindsey full 3" kit (testpipe and catback =55hp gain Bullsh*T). There is no way a 3" exhaust adds that much power and they should have used a 2.5" testpipe with the B&B system. The cat on their car was obviously plugged.

about 10k...not that that has ANYTHING to do with my point. As long as 951 owners talk crap about a high asking price, no one will ever get what they ask above the current market. It's self defeating, and dumb assed business, to run down any high asking price. To do so sets an artificial ceiling on the value of the cars. These cars are worth whatever someone is willing to paqy for them. If they go on to boards like this one, and read voluminous posts where 951 owners constantly run down high prices, and artificially create a price ceiling, then new potential owners will never buy at any number above the current artificial ceiling.
I would have thought that someone, who has invested probably close to 100k, on your two projects, would be the first to post that you really hope that the asking price is met...but once again instead of thinking, you chose to get your panies wadded up, assuming that I was in any way picking on you. Once again, you were wrong in your assumption. I was in no way trying to do that. However, now I'm just tired of your pm's EVERYTIME you mistakenly think I've looked at you cross eyed. Quit assuming things and don't pm me.
