That car was built by Chris Schuh. Fastest 944 series car around a road course that I've seen in person, and the owner can drive....

Most recent 944 sighting for me...and it is a 944 - its valve cover even says so.

thats the '1981 924 carrera GTP (944LM)' iirc. 944 16v turbo engine but still a 924. the wheels say so :P

there is an obscure 944S2 based n/a le mans (transam?) car in the mix somewhere...

Well it ran as a 944 prototype at Lemans in 1981 so that makes it a 944 in my book, 924 wheel fans or not.

This is the S2 based car you're speaking of, its a tube frame replica of the GTR but with rounded tubing. I almost bought it when it was for sale, I won't post pics out of respect of the new owner and Kelly Moss Racing.

What's it running, twin Webers?
Love the triangulation going on there too. I've got a feeling that all our nice strut braces don't do much than act as a parallelogram when under stress.

Yup, I agree patrick 100%. Those strut bars don't do a whole lot bit look good, sometimes.
