Default FS: 87' 951 w/LSD & No Dash Cracks!

Up for sale everyone is a clean and well maintained 1987 944 turbo. This car is currently owned by the 2nd owner (a good friend of mine) who drove it only 7,235 miles in 10 years from 1997 – 2007. Always garaged stored and no winters. The exterior is Alpine White with a Linen w/Black accented interior.
NO DASH CRACKS AT ALL!!

• 142,235 miles
Engine fully rebuilt (new pistons, rings, seals, bearings) and trans had all new synchros and LSD rebuilt at 96,070 miles on
06-17-1991 by Steinel’s Autowerks Inc in Twinsburg, OH.

• Limited Slip
• Two sets of AutoAuthority chips: (1) 275hp set and (1) 300hp race fuel only set – needs Adjustable FPR that comes with car. Still have OE chips as well.
• Kenwood CD player, Boston Acoustics in the hatch area not hooked up though. Remaining 4-speakers are still working good.
• New Interstate Battery
• New Radiator
• Extra set of OEM 16” Porsche wheels w/New Pirelli Snow tires
• 5-point Simpson Cam Lock race harnesses w/ shoulder pads
• Power sport (high bolster) seats for Driver and Passenger
• Brake Cooling Ducts
• Koni Yellow Sport adjustable rear shocks
• Rear lowered
• Front lowered

Only con is the cam tower has a leaky gasket and drivers seat has a small wear abrasion. Owner has new gasket, Timing Belt, and Balance Shaft belt as well.
Asking 13k neg.

Way! At that mileage, just my opinion. I'm looking at an 89 "S" with 65K miles with expensive track suspension, Kinesis wheels and a few other track goodies for only a little more. This car should be $7,500 to $10k tops

Charlie,
Why was the motor rebuilt in 1991 after only 4 years?

Chris, I let the owner now about the competition and what those cars are going for. I thought it was high myself, but he figured he would start at 13k.

Caster, from what I was told the owner who had the engine rebuilt was prepping it for track duty...he was an instructor for PCA and was adiment about everything being perfect. He had a lot of money and from what the shop told my friend John who has the car now that when they had the engine apart none of it needed to even be touched. The PO wanted to increase displacement some hence the new pistons. Probable case of having more money than good sense.

Back in 1991 I am not sure how much was known about the corelations between longevity and added performance so the PO might have been just leary too.
