Default boost leak???? LR MBC

I just installed an MBC and can hear the air passing through it: really quiet under vacuum, and a *loud* "hissshh" under boost.

This isn't normal for MBCs, is it?

What should my Vacuum at idle be? Is -16psi too low/high?

Did you use any thread tape on the fittings and plugs that screw into the controller?

I used a thin coating of something my Dad uses on Semi trucks... I can't remember what it was called, but it was not thread tape.

Great... well, atleast I can access it my removing just 2 screws.
