Default Bought another 951 today.

After spotting a cheap (for Australia) 951 on Aussie Ebay we decided to buy another 944 Turbo today. We have been using a 944 NA as a daily driver and my 951 on the track but have missed the regular opportunities to drive a 944T. The car is in Queensland and looks pretty stock but I'm sure it wont remain that way for long (just a few mods - honestly starting with the intermediate level suspension I pulled off my other 951 when I dedicated it to the track). Other than that I'll probably just replace the wastegate with a Tial, open the exhaust and go to a manual boost controller.

I dont have much in the way of pics yet as the car is still in QLD.

Not burgundy, more of a light brown colour - very 80's but in good nick. has a drivers side sports seat.

It was for sale and I gave a lowball offer that was accepted, then I lowered it after seeing the car hoping that he wouldn't accept it since I didn't really need the car...

Then he - to my surprise - accepted the offer, and I felt sorry for him and had to take the car off his hands. It worked fine for a while but started hesitating after a few tanks of gas and a few minutes at full speed.

G'day Sean,

I have spoken with the bloke that was selling it and I think its because he bought it in the UK for a reasonable price and he's treating it as an import as well. Either way, it was priced at a $7-8K discount so I figured it's worthwhile even if it does require some work, especially since I have plenty of spares on hand.

G'day Wayne. Nice p/up. What year is it? So it's an ex UK car, hope there's not too much rust although a capable bloke like yourself will have that out in no time. Geez if I had known you were in the hunt for that colour in Australia you could have made me an offer although it would have had to be a smidge more than you paid for yours. Having said that, the way mines going (read NOT) I may have been persuaded.
Anyway looks like a bit of fun inbetween races. How's the track car going? What weight have you got it down to?

Good price I reckon, looks in pretty reasonable condition, low miles and shouldn't have too much sun damage.

That's ok, I recently "accidentally" bought two more 944's the other day........

Looks like a nice car - 'cept the steering wheel is on the wrong side
