Default exhaust

Have LR 3-4 ceramic coated exhaust. Too loud for me. Anyone have something alittle quieter that they might want to trade.I am not looking for stock or just muffler upgrade trades. The exhaust is about 6 months old. Can I change the muffler on this set up and get something alittle quieter?
thanks John

Do you hav the Magna flow or Flowmaster?

The Magnaflow is supposed to be much quieter.

On my car wth 3-4 and Flowmaster measured 126 db
The MagnaFlow measured only 93db

The pre-muffler that LR is now selling to go in place of the cat reduces the MagnaFlow 5 db further to 87 db.

The 3 inch system with Magnaflow meaured 83 db.

These measurements were taken about 10 ft from the rear of the car with the db meter pointing directly at the exhaust tip and straight behind it. The motor was reved through the rpm range in neutral.

RKD that's good info. Do you happen to know what the db is on a B&B exhaust?

I dont know what muffler it is. I know it is a cylinder that is straight thru. So I can get a more restrictive muffler that will bolt on to the 4" opening? I dont mind it being loud when I get on it, but this one is too loud under normal driving.

It sounds like the Magnaflow. I have this and it is quiet but I also have a high flow Metalcat which would act in a similar way to the pre muffler some others have talked about. Maybe your best solution would be to try the pre muffler.

It might also be the Borla. I think it is a cylinder and its supposed to be pretty loud.
