Door seal, weatherstrip diff sizes?

Default Door seal, weatherstrip diff sizes?

just got a door seal from pelican parts..the old strip was black but this new strip appears grey..? and the weather strip has additional material that shows between the door/body seam? any thoughts?

Grey color should be from mold release powder residue. Not sure on the additional material, I replaced mine w/ oem.

Make sure that you aren't putting it on backwards i.e. putting the left door on the right and visa versa. Yes it will actually fit and the door will close if you've put the wrong door side on. Doing so makes it appear that there's more overlap material than there should be.
