Was the coolant reservoir originally yellow? who'da thunk it...

Good catches. I don't beleive the milage. It looks clean but that coolant res takes a lot of miles to degrade to that color.

I bet the car was in an accident, hence the side skirts.

Porsche didn't do any hood liners after 86.

Me too, and my car has 57000 miles, so I don't think it has anything to do with mileage. It's due to the type of plastic. If your's is white chances are it has been replaced.

OT, but i seem to remember a post where a few people claimed that the sunroof was stiffer due to the additional bracing - sunroof delete is apparently 'hollow'.

Peter Morgan says the same thing in his book "Original Porsche 924-944-968". I have never come across that anywhere else though.

Everything looks as I would expect with a time-capsule car (engine room hardware, leather on the steering wheel etc.). There was another super-low mileage 944 I saw pictured once that had a yellow tank too... So perhaps it is strictly age dependent?

The one item I am still wondering about is the boxed rockers. I never heard of that as being a factory option. Having said that, it is a very clean install from the pictures

Actually the desireable 10-speaker option.

This looks like a really nice car...

my car ALMOST looks like that... if you add a couple more rock chips to the nose, and some permanantly stained wheels
