What are there 70 to 120mph times? I'm sure the GTO can take the Camels too!

 

Well, the camel races lasts anything from 30 minutes to 1 hours non-stop, im sure the GTO will win, but will run out of fuel in the last lap or something

 

evil 944t: im currently in the middle of an engine rebuild, should be done in few weeks, then im down for racing some GTOs, ill see if my buddy with this will bring his friends with GTOs

Lart Hosrom. The 951 is great. And camels are slow.

 

You do understand that cars (yes the 951 is a car) drive on tarmac, camels run on sand, soft sand....the 951 (or any car) would not stand a chance in a 200FT drag

 

I still want to see a 1/4 mile time! Hos, the camel would spit in our general direction. I hear they hate 951's. Any truth to that?

 

2004 GTO is on par with......guess what: '83 924 Euro NA . Ok, ok, I added little huffer to the stock motor but still, result is this:

I took on a stock 350Z, not even a challenge, a GTO weighs over 500 lbs. more than a 951...

Hey that will be a great opportunity to ride in hosram's camel, I mean his car.

 

The 350Z puts out less than 300HP out of the box. You have a substantial weight advantage over the Z, but could use some more power. A Turbo S would have no problems against a Z, but to take out a GTO you'd need at least 350HP and maybe a slight diet.

 

1/4 mile time on the tarmac or sand?

Yup, I took a 350Z right when I bought my car, the Z must have been almost brand new, they had just come out, and my car was stock and tired (with 95k miles on it). I didn't walk away from it but I was about a car length ahead by 80 mph.
