Default 968 Oil cooler?

Has anyone added a 968 oil coller to the 951? if so how did you go about doing it? I have an 89 and want additional cooling. I can pick up an oil cooler off of a wrecked 968 cheap.

The 968 cooler has different fittings on both the cooler and the oil plate. Go where others have gone before and use the KISS setup.

Oh I thought about this but I have access to people who make hydrlics lines so getting the fittings and hoses made will be nothing. I was just curious if anyone had done this and wanted to know what kind of mounting solutions had been come up with.

I have been looking for a second 951 oil cooler to run upside down on the other side but this came along so I am trying to make this work.

modern coolers are more efficient (both thermaly and pressure differential) so not much point in trying to use a 951 or 968 cooler if you're after real cooling performance. At least the 951 cooler has threaded fittings even though its oriented the other way to the 968.

You will need to swap our entire oil filter housing to be able to run a 968 oil cooler. The oil cooler is bigger than a 951 cooler and uses O'rings for sealing on both lines. So, you will also need oil lines. Also, there is some ducting work in a 968 body to force air into this oil cooler which not be the case in a 951.
So, you will need cooler, oil lines and oil filter housing.

My thoughts are to simply run it in series with the stock oil cooler and mount it in front of the Radiator. I can get the hoses made for me so that isn't the concern. I am just wondering how to fab some brackets to hold it in place.
