Sounds like a new product..

Havn't seen any discussion on this as yet. Lindsey Racing seem pretty excited about it. Competition for the KEP, correct?

I have it and have for almost 2 years I think. I realy like the pedal feel and modulation and have no trouble with it. The clutch really holds and the engine revs very freely.

I did have ask for as it is an option and it costs more. When you order from lindsey there is no kit per say. You chose each option you want. What I selected was a stage 2 clutch (this could be considered a kit) with the alum. pressure plate option and the alum fly wheel.
Here is some more info I got when tolking to spec, the difference is that the friction surface is aluminum with steel on top of it, it is constructed like the spec aluminum flywheel. The outer part of the clutch and the "spring" or whatever you call it are the same between the two. When I asked why it holds more they said it doesn't. When I explained the Lindsey site says it is 380lb. for the standard one and 450lb. for the aluminum one, the guy from spec said while it does not clamp harder because of the aluminum it has a stiffer friction service allowing more contact all the time, he the went on to say HE would rate both kits at 400lbs. So it seems Lindseys numbers are a bit of a marketing thing, but lindsey is a huge spec dealer and works with spec on some things so I feel some one else at spec most likely told the lindsey guys that there is a difference where exactly the 380 and 450 numbers came from who knows. I do know it really hooks up when fully engaged.
What is newer than the aluminum pressure plate from spec is the spec steel flywheel from Lidsey racing, this is an item that if available when I bought the clutch I would have gone with.
Edit: DimeI just noticed in your sig it sayys "light weight" by the clutch I think you very well might have the aluminum pressure plate.
