my favorite is the carbopad blue as wear is very low and performance is good (and they are cheap, rather hard to get though.)

as for stuck pads, you get a cool yank tool thingy. but cleaning with brake cleaner with you change and get the old goo out should eliminate it, I change so often that I never have issues.
