FWIW, the OE filters sold at the dealer parts counter here in Europe are "Made in USA" and probably by Purolator.

I've used the 75 for years and when driving it daily or starting it daily it seems to build pressure as just as quickly as the 944/51 filter. When it sits for three days or longer it does seem to take a bit longer then the stock filter.

Wow what a stupid question. Anyway, I use a K & N and have never had any problems, like LFA951 said. Plus it adds 85 whp. Oh and once again, Dfastest944 has the best avatar, and a sweet 951, ty.

Wow what a stupid question. Ok, but seriously, I have used a K & N for years and have never had a problem, like LFA951 suggested. Once again DFASTEST951 has the best avatar ever, ty.

The drainback in the Mahle I have on now has failed. I noticed it week or so ago. Gonna pop on a new one and see.

K&N is the best I've ever used (since Amsoil doesn't make one for our cars) I like PERRY 951's avatar...

Thanks! Here's a bigger one. I'm not sold on the K&N yet... but there sure is a lot of positive things being said.

Like those wheels! K&N has always been the leader in performance air filters for over 35 years. I've been using their filters since I was in high school, it made sense for them to go the oil route as well. Check out their website, they are in my home state of California...www.knfilters.com

The mahle OC 75 is taller than the OC 142.

The OC 142 is what you get from the dealership, paragon and zims sell those, they do not sockl the OC 75.

Lindsey sell the OC 75 and don't stock the OC 142, at least not anymore.

I have one OC 75 that i will use now, i have been using the OC 142 since 2000, will see what difference the 75 has, if any.

I just spoke with LR and they said there billet oil filter doesn't have a drain back vavle. But he also said that when he changes the oil the filter it is never completely empty. On the plus side you can change the filter from the top and not get all that oil all over the place.
