I wasn't debating the one on ebay, which had a really nice design on fasteners and indeed superior to lr's mounting as it said. there is no doubt that the fuelrail he sold was a very nice piece of work. as you mention, damper is not cheap as well.

as for AN fittings and o rings and whatnot mentioned here I figured $5 for AN weld-on bungs in each end as I won't run a fluid damper.

on another sidenote LR charges another aprox 170usd for the an/hoses and 170 for reg.

yes, AN goodies is never cheap.

They have -8 and -6 as well. I'll also be making my own.

yes thats that's where i ordered. I choose -8 as it seemed the best for my goal, like I wrote earlier, I will weld -6 an bungs to the ends.

I'm installing the LR fueling rail now. I got a great deal from another rennlister. The one thing I dont like is that lack of access for the mounts. I couldnt get a socket in there and had to use a combo wrench.

I've heard that many like to install threaded studs and use stop-nuts.

stop-nuts? Same as lock nuts? There would still be that access problem though right? The mount is shaped in a way that doesnt leave enough room to get a socket wrench in there. On the stock rail it was easy enough to just use a long extension. On the LR rail i couldnt get that to engage fully because i could only get it on at an angle, which started rounding the head of the bolt as it got tightened down.

Stop/lock, whatever you call the nuts with the nylon bushing built into one end. I don't have any experience with the LR rail personally. Just repeating what I've heard. Perhaps LR could offer some advice?

For clarification a stop nut is capped and can only be threaded so far therefore stud length is critical. A lock nut has a nylon insert so it can be tightened on any length stud. Heat can soften the nylon on lock nuts if used on studs where temps over 250 deg. are a certainty such as exhaust components.
