Why is there no throttle cam for the turbo?

I used to have an n/a and put the throttle cam on and like it alot more. I feel like the pedal travel in the turbo is way to long. I would much rather a shorter more responsive pedal. Any ideas?

Probably because you'll need more than a direct throttle cam to increase throttle response - plus the throttle mechanism is highly improved over the NA. My opinion, not to be taken as fact, just a thought.

I'm sure I've seen some device that opens up the throttle more rapidly due to a larger wheel. There's probably an element of turbo lag that increases the sensation that nothings happening when you first put your foot down compared to an n/a car.

Applying more throttle faster will not decrease the turbo lag one bit. And a more aggressive throttle pedal will make it more difficult to control after the turbo is spooled. You would be turning the throttle into more of an on-off switch.

Yeah, i can see how that was confusing. I meant the throttle cam upgrade like the n/a has. It just like moving my right foot less and getting the same response I guess. Most newer cars that i have driven today seem to have far shorter throttles then the 951.

Yeah that makes sense to me. Id buy it. I think its going a little overboard to say that chaning the throttle cam would turn the car into an on/off switch. The throttle travel is pretty damn long compared to some modern cars.

Maybe the sensation you are feeling is not lack of throttle action, but just the usual turbo lag on a stock engine. Is your engine stock? If so, putting on a manual boost controller (even just and LBE) will make the throttle more responsive. I rarely need to put the throttle past half way, unless I'm calling for warp speed. I have chips, MBC and 20 psi (K26/8).
