What happened to everyone in here when dealing with John Anderson? I thought he helped many people with their mods and work on here. I remember when he had his shop in Santee that there were some awesome projects going on. And now its not there anymore. That was a good location.

This post should take about a week to go through. His site is still active, you say it is closed up?

Unfortunately I had second hand experience of this, when I helped install (and later remove) an AMW engine, or lack there of...

I see that you are new to here, so welcome to the community. As other people have stated, I will echo my opinion here too. Do yourself a favor and do a search on here. As far as Anderson is concerned though, I know of several people who have been burned big time. You wouldn't catch me doing any business with him at all, ever. There are many Rennlist sponsors on here now that are great people do deal with, let alone other 944T vendors on the Net too. It depends on what product or service you are looking for. Anyway, just be careful and do your own search.

Wow, I dont understand. Five years ago when I was in highschool all I could think about was gettin a 951 built by him. I found the new address and will still check it out. Thank you for the heads up, but I got to see for myself if all this is true. To be honest I've personally spoken with a few of his former employees and they swear by him. His work was really nice when I first met him, I have to see if anything changed. I'll let you guys know.

You've been warned. Proceed with caution--or better yet--not at all.

Default Anderson Motorworks, AMW, John Anderson

Dont toss your money in the trash (same as dealing with AMW, Anderson Motorworks Inc., John Anderson). He is not a certified Porsche mechanic, just a "self proclaimed" 944 specialist. This shop will not warranty their product even thought its shown on their website. Check Dave's post for instance.

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...&highlight=AMW

I heard they / he (Anderson Motorworks Inc.) lost a law suit with one of his previous employees (Richard Anderson).... yes, it seems he screwed his own cousin that worked at his shop. Call Richard's attorney to inquire, Kevin Hizon (Huntington Beach CA). Richard filed a claim with the Labor Board and won, so maybe you should check with Richard to see if he has good things to say. I'm sure John is a stand-up guy and would treat you right, even if you arent family.

Good luck

Hey bro, I dont know who you are but you should watch what you say. You have no basis for your claim. I dont want to offend anyone with my words, but this is a touchy one for me guys. My F****ing 951 is over there right now with John getting worked on. John has kept true to his word so far, and isnt just a stand up guy, he's really the best at what he does and the MOST honest mechanic/tuner in my opinion. I really dont care what any of you say when it comes to this subject. You all know, and I as well, that there are always two side to every story and many here are way too quick to judge without hearing both, especially on this forum. About 3-4 weeks ago I was beginning to have slight doubts after all that I read on here, after all the hours of searches and reading. I feel bad doing it now, but I did inquire about a few of them to John, in person I might add. And he had a straight answer for each of them, with a straight serious face to go with all as well.

Yes David Floyd I asked him about you, and once again his explanation of the situation came out in front by a mile, IMO. I dont care to bring it up, but it was that situation with SFR and when he left. Later on I think you understood what went on. But you still made a stain on the name. Once again, no offense.
Then there was some guy who needed a motor from John, called him, got one that he built. The wrist came out or something and the motor grenaded. He called John pissed and rightfully so. John made good and sent him an even better motor, he told the customer and he was ok with it. Then the guy gets upset that he gets disqualified from his race class. Then he comes on here and tells you guys, then you go ohhhh what an *******, f*** that guy, he should give you the money back. I mean, you got to be kidding me. For the guy to come on here and bash him for that instead of calling him like a man, its wasnt right.
There are more, but I shouldnt bring up more, I'm 20 will come out after this is read.
And I even asked him about Kajave and Huntley and John didnt hesitate. If words werent enough, he brought me evidence of him beating Dereks top race car on the dyno, with so much less in regards to mods but more importantly with the right set-up. Lol, now that I remember, John said Derek was so pissed he tried for a third time to beat him on the dyno that day, and he pushed that car so hard that all of a sudden his engine overheated, actually, this was the only part John couldnt keep a straight face because he was laughing after Kajave warped the head and melted various parts along with many wires smoking. Some people stand behind Huntley more eventhough the guy screwed and owes many people money, thats why hes in south america working on jet engines or whatever. Even Tim at SFR knows John got a raw deal and it lead to the fact that he DID warranty his work , that was his problem. Customers stuff would break after pushing the limit in their cars and go back with parts in their hands and say " fix this". Even Tim said that.
And onthegas, FYI, Tim Richards said "I dont even warranty ANY motor work, especially on a track car. If the engine gives out and its something we did, then I will. But after 2000 miles its your problem, because if it was something I did, something wouldve happened a lot earlier." Thats a straight quote. Tim is definately one of my major sources for mods, and I look forward to doing business with him, he is also a stand up guy. Very honest, and gets to the point.

I hope that this in no way offended anyone, but I trust John whole-heartedly and resent any bashing of his name. If you had a problem with the guy fine. But you solve it somewhere else, PM the guy and talk to him like a man.
Recently, people on here had a problem with me, and they took care of it the right way, dime did.
But heres what might offend some. To those that are interested and have fair judging minds, I will keep you posted on the results of the car. To those that are pesimistic and have their doubts, I will be more than happy to slap you with my nuts on the highway when she is back in my garage. Bold statements, stupid ones and many more. But one reading this should understand that I feel this guy got a raw deal and that things are not always what they seem. Its important to keep an open mind. Im sorry if those that are of the other view than me feel insulted, but I would stand up for you if I thought you to be a genuine character. I am the minority here in my opinions and I know this. But some of you should appreciate that. I think this is enough, at least for now. Sorry for the rant.

Oh yea, aside from this, any suggestions on a MAF? I think I would need an application that is relatively easy to remove for smog purposes. Any help would be very appreciated.

First, let me say that your post was very difficult to understand due to the lack of proper punctuation and grammar. You will make a better arguement and have others respect your opinions more if you take the time to use correct English.

As to the MAF, there are a couple of companies now that make stealth MAFs. They are a little more restrictive than a full MAF but they keep the stock look and breathe better than the stock AFM.

Thanks apex, lol and lart of course, I usually try to keep an eye on my puncuation but just didn't care for that one. Excuse me. Lart I want to hear what your experiences have been, really. And anyone else, please. This all sounds too weird to me. I may just have to wait till my car is done, then, and only then can I have a solid opinion on the matter.
On the MAF, forget the stealth man, you dont think I could remove the SFR one or Lindsey in a short time? Before a smog that is.
