I attended the creditors meeting at Leda on Monday this week. There were severe cashflow issues at Leda. According to the reciever there are interested parties but from what I can tell the debt would stop the company being taken over in its current incarnation. The most likely scenario is that another party would buy the company name, the stock, any interlectual property, the plant and orderbook from the receiver. I have today been advised that all interested parties have to submit offers before next Monday. So unless something happens it is the end of the road for Leda.
Having met the directors of the company on Monday it is such a shame that it came to this, as they seem the most honest hardworking people who could just not get the business model right.
Thats business though! If anybody has any orders please contact me and I'll try and help you.

Regards
Tom

Damn, this looks very bad. Thanks for sharing that information Tom. Let's hope that a miracle happens and a company or some investors step up to the plate. it would be shame to see a company with such quality products disolve.

Cheers mate.

^^^^^^^^^+1

because "+1" seems to be the "in thing" to type when you agree with someone these days.
...but I seriously agree. Where would we be, in our communtiy, without small mom and pop vendors? No Chris White, no Vitesse, no Racer's Edge, no SFR or LR, ...I guess this is a case of good guys not winning again.

I choose KW over moton as moton in netherlands wasn't exactly forth coming, and it was -way- cheaper getting them from US dealers.

with that said the US dealers I talked to responded quickly and was good.

Anders when you get your KWs let us know. I know Patrick loves his very much. So which series did you wind up ordering? The regular Variant or the Competition ones?

Cheers

Opps, sorry I missed it but thank you. What spring rates did you go with too? And I did go back and re-read the thread and didn't see you mention that.

Maybe the new owner will fix the problems with the shocks and actually make the adjustments usefull. Trying to adjust these without data is like pissing in the wind. I am not sure why everyone was so heart broken for these folks. They maybe honest and hardworking but their shocks leave a lot to be desired.

BTW, before you flame me. I have experience and data so watch it!

Lookout! He has data!

Seriously, though, how about sharing some of it with us?

Just received this in email, as some of you will have also.

Good morning Leda customers.

Firstly, we are delighted that epm: technology group have taken over the trading name of Leda Suspension. However, due to all the surrounding circumstances it is going to be a further two/three weeks before we have full control of the Leda business.
We are in this period of time, moving Leda to premises in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. We already own Harvey Bailey Engineering (HBE) who design, build and fit ride and handling suspension kits for classic sports and high value road cars.
The two businesses, Leda and HBE will run alongside each other until the dust settles.
There is, as you would expect, a natural backlog of work due to the circumstances surrounding Leda going into administration. In time this backlog will be resolved and full production will start again mid/end of May 2007.

In order to help us, can you please provide the following information:

Your name and address (and a delivery address if this is different)
What you have ordered
Did you supply donor parts
How urgent your requirement is

If you have made an upfront payment either in total or as a deposit, it will be necessary for you to claim this from the administrator:

Ian Williams at Benedict Mackenzie: 020 7247 1174

We will, if possible, complete your order at the price quoted by Leda. If there are any problems with this information and/or delivery of the goods we will call you directly.

Thank you for your support through this process.

Great news. I have the non-adjustable dampers which are IMHO a performance bargain for anyone looking for a track/street set-up
