Wheres all the big weight? I know the ac is quite a bit but i havent decided on that yet.
Replace all panels with carbon fiber.

That is the sound deadening, it's the consistency of an asphalt shingle and the stuff is very heavy. It appears to have cracked due to getting pushed into the indentation behind it. No problem.

Calculate your hp to weight ratio before and after the reductions. This should give you an idea in terms of % gain.

I don't know if this is the spreadsheet you are looking for.

Look under Car Math

I gladly accept corrections on these calculations. Any and all help will make this more accurate.

I have somewhere around 128lbs out of my car so far. I added in probably half of that with the addition of the 951 brakes, Redline 4pt rollbar and a few other additions.

-Rear seatback removed ~14lbs
-Spare tire, jack and tools removed ~40lbs
-Rear seatbelt delete ~3lbs
-Stainless Steel cat-back ~16lbs
-Odyssey PC-680MJ lightweight battery : 27lbs.. my old Diehard battery weighed 43lbs!
-968 aero mirrors ~3lbs
-Rubber liner under carpet ~3lbs
-Rear fiberglass Euro bumper, saves 22lbs from stock aluminum bumper and shocks.

My a/c is coming out in the coming weeks which should drop another 30-35lbs as i plan to retain all the lines and evap..only taking out the condenser, receiver and compressor. I also plan to go with Recaro fixed buckets. My 4-way leather sport seats weigh about 55lbs each. The Recaro buckets are about 20-22lbs with sliders and the side mounts. I am also working on a n/a euro bumper (Saves another 22lbs). All said and done i am hoping to be well under 2700lbs.

Manual steering is on the list, but far down and probably wont be done for another year or two. Thats another 20lbs roughly.

don't do do much math or you will soon see it would pay off to diet the fatsack driveing it

if anyone has removed their AC with everything I could be interested in buying it.

1 huge heavy thingy on our cars is the hoods, much to be saved there, it's aprox 18.5KG which is 40lbs if i got the math right. rear window/side window is also heavy. dumping a few hundred feet of harness will also help me, I'm removing everything not related to lights.

Heat it up with a heat gun, then use a heavy duty paint scraper (shown). That got the vast majority of it off, then I used a wire brush in a drill to get the small bits off. Cleaned up with mineral spirits. Each side took me about an hour, and both sides together weighed 5 pounds.

Just a note. Last year I had the floors painted white like the rest of the car. This past fall I cleaned up the floors and painted them with spray on truck bed liner. It seems more durable and it's black so it won't show dirt as much.

You need heat and chemical to get the glue $hit off. It's tough, damn tough.

I like white for interior color, easy to patch, and you can see anything that moves.
