Default PIR Saturday, March 3

Hey all,

I'm just curious as to who all is planning on going to PIR on Saturday. I'd love to come hang out, but, as of the moment, don't know anybody. Is there a certain group of people meeting at any particular place and time? I'm available all day except late afternoon.

Eric,

I'll be there but won't have my 951 (unless a miracle happens between now and then). Most of the spec racers will be there Joe (m758) in his #94 spec car, Steve Marlow (smarlow) in his yellow/black spec car, Kevin P. (gotmeaporsha) in his black 87 turbo, Kevin K. (epic 1211), Steve V. (AZ Steveo), as well as a few other locals who don't frequent the list....Stew, Bob.

I believe my run is the first group out so I'll be there before 7 and have to be on the road home by 3:30. Come and look for us. I'll be the nerdy looking bastard in the silver Z06. You also have my cell # if you can't find us but we'll be pretty hard to miss.

Ryan,

There is a relativly cheap, quick, and inexpensive solution to your CV woes. I've replaced a half dozen of them and you shouldn't let this keep you grounded. Especially if this is the first time you've heard clicking. If anything, just come out and meet some of the guys. You'll be surprised how many of us there are.

Erik, if you have a helmet bring it along just in case you want to take a passenger ride on someone's car.

Decides to take a ****? Did it blow, or just start clicking? I've done mine before; I have the cheesehead socket if you need it.

I have a helmet that's at least DOT rated - I need to see if it's Snell 95 or not - I assume you need Snell 95 at the track?

Dude it's been gone since I got married. I last saw it in the fridge a few months ago. Hey we're having a boy. Now I just hope it's mine......

You haven't been here in a while I guess. You need to come check the car out...... You'll be the last to drive it. She's already talking abou the next one. Crazy woman, keeps making me buy these stupid cars .

Guys there should be some 9 944 spec cars racing and 2-3 more in the DE group. We will be there all weekend and parked in the North Paddock between the vendor space and the fence. Camp 944!

I am the 944 spec series director for the Arizona region and we have that space for all race cars , DE spec cars and fellow rennlisters driving in DE. If someone asks you tell them Joe Paluch said it was ok. If you are coming to spectate then please park in dirt area in the west of the paddock and then drop by. We will only have space for cars running in the event. Open trailers should be parked in the dirt are as well. 944 Spec race time is 3pm or so.

PS. we should be able to arrange some rides in 944 spec cars as many of racers have passenger's seats and are instructor rated.

Some details on the event I posted in NASA Forums for the 944 spec guys.

Jermey,
Please give me some additional details on other 951 guys. I am adding you guys to our attendance list on nasa forums. This way it make it easier for us to plan space.

Sucks that the race isn't until 3 or so - I have a commitment at 5, but I'll at least come out to hang out for the morning/early afternoon. Also - I didn't get an answer to the Snell 95 question - I assume helmets must be Snell 95 rated, not just DOT?

Hey Jeremy, great that you're having a boy, it would take a lot of cars to make up for 4 women bossing you around!

I'll be there Saturday to hang out with everyone but not driving , watch for the pitiful looking goof carrying a helmet around begging for rides.

Hey Joe,

As far as I know I'm the only one that's signed up so far. eveyone else will be there but I'm not sure who has signed up. BTW, did NASA change the rules on passengers?
