Not sure if it will tune out or not. Haven't played with it yet. Btw it's a Lindsey head and WebCam cam.

Are you running the second image on the board? Or the first?

You will need to adjust idle.

kasturbo,
nice looking set up, was a check valve recommended with this particular can?
i have seen them suggested for turbo engines on another manufactures web site, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I'm running the second image on the board. I figured I would have to play with the idle some, just haven't had time to do it. The afr at idle was still spot on. Is it typical for the vacuum to drop to 8 - 10 psi at idle with this cam? I pressure checked for leaks, but couldn't find any.

Thanks all for the comments on the motor. It's been a long work in progress.

btw- is kasturbo aka por951turbo?
Hey Dan - this is a bit different than others in that it is a recirculating setup, has internal baffles, and has larger 1/2 npt ports. I am a firm believer in using a recirculating style cach can as it keep that crank case under vaccuum. However, most of recirculating units do not have the baffles which IMHO are essential to get the oil vapor to condense. The Saikou design has a baffle as well as stainless steel mesh.

Most of the recirculating catch cans out there have fairly small ports, while this is setup with 1/2" npt ports with 3/4" barb fittings to accomodate the larger AOS hose on our cars. Saikou Michi worked directly with a couple of us to make this can specifically for our cars. We are still working through a couple different mounting options, as not everyone can mount it in place of the washer tanks like Kevin did. Pricing is not officially set but will be under $100, which makes if one of the best priced catch can options out there, and as John aptly put it, it"does something other than be a shiny gadget".

thanks skip. I ran a moroso catch can on my Supra turbo and it didnt do much for me so i ditched it. This seems alittle more worthwhile.

Sam,

I'll be anxious to see this on your car - sounds like a good reason for a trip to the local pub. Let me know when you have it on ...I may end up doing the same.

Cheers,

Rick

That's what we talked about! Yes -8 or -10 is very possible.
