http://www.worlduph.com/SAMPLES/feintuft.htm

Check here for an idea of what the colors should be. Our cars used feintuft velour carpeting. Remember that the carpet and the vynil/leather aren't exactly the same, and had some different names. This page will give you an idea of the subtle differences.

Thanks for all the responses. beab, I'll e-mail you for that Word doc. ehall, those are very helpful links. I have heard the term "light grey" before, but damned if I can see any hint of grey anywhere...

here's my first attempt a posting pix (after being a member for 4 years...)

"light grey" is actually called grey beige. A small group of these guys decided what to name the colors for our cars.

According to clarks garage they are two seperate colors. 2FP is light grey (86-on) and 3FF is grey beige (83-on).

Linen 8WC was only 89-90 according to that page.

Interesting. So my "linen" interiors in my '86 and '88 are actually "mushroom"?

I guess "mushroom" makes about as much sense as "linen"!

Anyway I bought the black Lloyds, I like that look with the lighter carpets.

Good catch bill. Linen looks a lot like off white rather than having a tan type tint. The other two colors are really close on a computer screen, but grey beige is a bit darker-ish-sorta...

OK, don't get the two mixed up or you will be disappointed. That’s "Champignon", French for mushroom. Champagne is a darker tan color. The two names have similar spellings.
