Want to finally spring for Lloyd's mats, but I don't really trust the multitude of beige's on the computer screen to match the tan or sand interior of my '86. How can I figure out for sure what is the right color? Does any seller dish out samples of the carpets?
TIA,
Pat

I would ask the Boxster guys - seriously.
If anyone knows those mats, its them.
Second would be the 928 guys., but most of them have velour Elvis artwork, so option "B" only.

What is the actual "tan" color you are refering to? Many call Linen (off white) tan. Mine is Champagne and is a mustard color. There are a couple of other variations as well.

There was no linen color in 86 - it was called light grey. Linen didn't come around until the 89 year, IIRC (I have the info at home, but not available at school).

Post a pic of your interior and we can probably help you out. I'm betting that I have the same color, which is about two weeks from becoming champagne and all leather!
There is grey beige, linen, champignon, and a couple of others. They are all really close but different. Keep in mind that carpet colors look slightly different, but will be much closer than trying to match leather colors.
