Default 18x11" wheel fitment on 86 turbo-GOT THE WHEELS

bought a set of wheels for my 86t and im left wondering- "will they fit?"

before i bought them i did alittle re-search of the rennlist library and found a few people running 295's on the rear so i figured i was safe as these wheels are 295/18's - and spacing should not be an issue i just need proper spacers. So am i right that i can fit these no problem w/ correct spacers on there?

i have rear coilovers and have rolled my wheel wells alittle for the 17's i had on there.....ideas, answers?

I would say maybe? It depends on each car when you're right at the edge. Lot's of recent discussion on this very topic so you can find recent info through 'Search'. I would like to go to 11's and 305's or even 315's so let us know how you go?

I thought the 996 twista had to have a spacer on the front to clear the dust cap?

On an 86 the 18x11 et 45 requires the top shock tower bolt to be reversed.

you know i keep hearing that but i have NEVER seen a shock bolt that had the nut in the wheel well. Im not even sure that you can fit the bolt in from the backside because the gastank is in the way. Every car ive ever worked on has had the bolt going in from the wheelwell w/ undercoating over the head of it. Thats how mine is. I wonder why everyone says that? The guy selling the wheels said that too!

Dan, what offset are these wheels? Are you using spacers?

If those are OEM wheels the rear off set is 45.
