These ********* at dealerships will tell you anything if they thought they could get away with it. I've worked in a Honda dealership here in Florida and seen it firsthand

Did they replace the engine mounts when they did the stroker kit?

From what you've said, I'm more inclined to agree with everyone else about the clutch, but engines mounts can exhibit similar behavior. But other symptoms too, like vibration through the gear shifter, rocking/lunging on acceleration, etc. If they are old, check them out as another possible cause.

Regards,
Russell

My clutch gives a little jutter on down shifts... I have the Lindsey stage II disk with stock PP... Not a big deal - it is just a little more grabby than the stock unit. Put a few more miles on it and see what happens. If it is not a real bad jutter I would not worry too much about it...

I had a turbo cup clutch put in and flywheel and about a 1000 miles later I have that violent shudder from 3rd to 2nd. I never had a problem before. The mechanic either didn't change the pilot bearing or the flywheel needs to be resurfaced, even though he installed a new one. That's the problem with these cars you can't find a knowledgeable mechanic to work on them. Reno
