Default Dallas area CL car

Ran across this car on the Dallas Craigslist.... no affiliation.

http://dallas.craigslist.org/car/274554857.html

Also--we are considering moving to Dallas sometime this year. Are there other Rennlisters in the area? Any feedback on the PCA in Dallas?

Altho I'm not currently there...I am from Arlington, Texas and a member of the Maverick Region. Maverick is a great region, and there are plenty of places within a days drive to take our cars. Lindsey racing is just 4 hours away, we have Zims as well. The area itself is nice, too. What part are you lookinga t moving to? Ft. Worth or Dallas side?

I just moved to North Dallas and it is very nice.

I will call that guy tomorrow and see about that car. If it has 1/4 of those parts on it it is worth it.

Ahahhhaha! Neons in the vented nose panel. The car looks very nice IMO (I like it even if some think it's "rice") but, it's not $35k material. Try Motons, Gt3 seats, + more mods and then maybe ~$20-25k.

After looking at the $35,000 price I will not call. I thought it was $3500 on first glance. If it was it would be scooped up by now.

Why is that? My car came with 5 point harnesses and the factory sport seats, and I wasnt sure if I should keep them or not. Why would it be bad to run them?

The stock seats are comfortable but, they offer next to no lateral support. That doesn't make for as much of a "stable" setup for track use. Anyways, for $35k, it would have been nice if it at least included a couple Recaro Pole Position seats or something.

the sport seats offer more lateral support than the non sport but still nothing compared to a set of Recaros

Thats JJ's car I know it well.

He wants way to much money for it. He is a kid with way too much money himself. He sells skylines and so I guess he figures his porsche is worth 35k too. Its not.

Its hands down the cleanest 951 in the area and believe me i've seen plenty. Its worth every bit of 25k.

stock seats and harnesses aren't good together b/c the factory 944 seats have no way of holding the harnesses on your shoulders.

harnesses and no roll bar don't go together b/c if you roll the car, your body is held upright and if the roof caves in....

With no provisions to guide the shoulder belts, in an accident, they will slide outwards and offer little to no protection. This has been discussed more than a couple times before.
