Makes sense then. I noticed the torque wasn't falling off like on my k27/8 dyno but at only 12 psi I guess it wouldn't. If you pushed it to 15 psi you would make more power but the curves wouldn't be as linear.

Out of curiosity, any idea why the dyno was done in 3rd gear as opposed to 4th? Typically 4th is used because it's the closest to 1:1

The guy in the shop said that 3rd gear is the one they usually do it in, so I let him do it his way, since this is what he does for a living. I tried it at 14 psi, but then it would start pinging slightly, so since the difference in the driver's seat is minimal, I turned it down to 12 so that it won't ping...

What octane of gas were you using to get pinging at 14 psi? I have done all of my dynos on 94 octane at 18psi with zero fuel issues. I am also curious to your afr of 12.1. That seems too lean if on the top end, imo.

I know what you mean...everyone says that when they see I own a 1953 Kaiser Manhatten.

The only other guy who got as excited as you when I showed him the list was my insurance agent.

You are missing a boat load of midrange torque.

I was on BP super unleaded 93 octane as I always am. I pulled the plugs several times and they don't know any signs of the engine running lean since I went to the 3 bar.

I'm pretty sure they are set up for 15 psi or more, but I do have 115K on the engine and I only did the head last year, no bottom end work, so I don't want to chance it, plus my mechanic said that 15 lbs. is too much for a car that has original rings and rod bearings, he doesn't think it would handle 15 psi for long, so I keep it at 12 just to be safe...

You are too lean starting at 2500 - do not raise the boost.
This is the main reason for the missing torque.
Your car is slow now - it might feel fast , but it is slow.
When you work the fuel, it will be quick.

How come you shut it down at 5400RPM?

275/270 at the crank on 12 psi is pretty good, considering he is running almost stock boost.

What do you consider working the fuel? New injectors? I have a new fuel pump and filter that I put in with the 3 Bar...
