Must have missed it.

It looks cheap though and will be stunning when finished.

That is Albert Broadfoot mate, he is very good and very slow.
I bought some pulleys off him middle of December and am still waiting for them. He always has come through in the past and he answers emails. I think he has been ill or something as he used to have a busy shop. Now he only sells through Ebay

I can vouch for the slow... I purchased as set of new Bilstein Escort Cups 18 months ago and they took 2 months to arrive.

I thought Broadfoot's had closed down due to his bad health.

This was discussed in depth in another thread. The car is not actually being sold by him. Also listers such as Guns had pointed out the incomplete body kit, inadequate wheels, no mention of recieving brake calipers with the car, and he claims the value of the engine alone is 18k? why is he only asking 17k? He had it up at 30k before, now it seems his senses may have caught up to him...

Throgh the grapevine i heard that Kelli (his wife) had taken a job leasing Commercial Aircraft and he closed the shop down as he would have been on his own. i think he is just selling off old stock and unfinished projects now

Also in addition to the 17k for an incomplete car, he will "complete" the car for you for an additional 16k...seems pretty shoddy to me. Also mentioned in the last thread was that the body kit was bonded to the body...which is not the prefered method of attaching it. Guns knows more about that seeing as he owns and has installed the same body kit, and maybe can throw a little more into hwo its disadvantageous (is that a word?). I hope no one buys it...

The car is stunning all the same and will make somebody a very proud owner.

I have just been to the website http://www.autosportfl.com/ and it states on the home page 'Previously Broadfoot Racing we are now Autosport of Florida'.

Anybody know the story here! and is Albert still involved in the business?

It's a weird situation. I had heard Albert was retiring over last summer. But it looks like they are back, just with a different name.

O.K. Yes. I received my '87 951 back from Broadfoot early December. I put all of 8 miles on it to get it home from the trailer as I can't really drive it until spring(Michigan salt), I flat-bedded it over to my guy here in MI... Rennstatt, for much more work. Mostly final suspension touches. Albert took my existing motor and converted it to a 3.0 liter. The job as quoted included all top of the line stuff. What brought me to him originally was his 4 to 1 equal length, 321, ceramic coated exhaust header. The car still requires much tuning, but I am confident I will eventually get 500 at the ground. Here are a couple of pic's. As for the experience, I will suspend all judgements until I work out the motor.

That looks the nuts

What spring rates (front and rear) are you running on the escort cups?
