Question 944 molded rear carpet

Good day all.

It seems I can find just about anything, except this darn carpet piece. I don't need a complete set, just the large molded piece for the rear of my '87 951. The spongy stuff on the underside is falling apart. Anyone know of a source?

Thanks in advance!

I think your best luck would be to get one from someone parting out a car. There usually are several people selling that kind of stuff at any time on here - what color did you need?

No... It's a long story so I will try and be breif

I purchased a 968 CS rear seat delete from a car which was being parted out in the UK where live.

When trying to fit it I found that it was completely different from that of all 944's so I basically made a new mould coping the 968 original and then making it fit perfectly using FRP.

Once I had made the mould which cost considerable money I dicided that I may as well go the whole hog and have the carpet press covered to fit so so here it is.

I've sold over 20 of them now in the UK and my seat delete is both lighter and better made than the original thick card version made by Porsche for all 968CS's Euro Model.
