How many failures have been caused by the crank strength? As I understand its more of a rod bearing issue more then a crank strength issue.

I do not think the reason some people redesign and remake certain parts, is for fun. They do it because they see certain requirements not meet by the original parts. Often this affords them the ability to make other changes for free that make the new part even better.


There are some really knowledgeable experts who read the posts here, but never respond. You are correct Mr Vitesse. We are honored to have them here and to even take the time to read the dribble we all spew.
