Default Finally got Pictures

My dad and I got this in August. Its an 86 turbo, not sure on miles, we changed the timing belts the second we got home and had a local Porsche mechanic give it the once over. Been driving it for a while now, an absolute joy, and thanks to the people here, no more fuel leak.

Very nice! Is the bra hiding any damage or do just have it on to look different?

Not sure about the paint color exactly. And unfortunatly yes, the bra is hiding some pretty major paint chips in the front... but once i get enough money im planning on a repaint, same color. It looks nice with the bra but I think it would look so much better without it.

FYI, a full repaint of a 951, done properly, will run 5-6 grand.

gorgeous car though! Love it! (mine needs a repaint too)

Yeah, Bonestock 951S is repainting his right now, and that's what he's paying, and they're taking things apart, spraying, putting back together, etc. instead of the Maaco spray and run method.

There should be a sticker right next to the fusebox that shows the paintcode. If not there, the sticker in the rear under the carpet between the tail lights should show the paint code number, and then you can figure out what the name is from that.

Is that glue/epoxy on the coolant reservoir?

My reservoir had a leak in the same spot where it looked as though it were rubbing on the hood.

There is a fiber glass patch over what was a leaky spot in the coolant resivour. The previous owner put that there, the patch that is.

Nice! I love those wheels.

Did the Porsche mechanic identify any other mechanical items that need attention?

Something that caught my eye is the gap between the rear of the door and the body. It looks like the gap is larger at the top of the door. Is that just an illusion caused by the angle of the picture?

The gap is the same from top to bottom. The only other thing that he noticed was that the brake master cylinder needed replaced, which he did.
