Default wheels are all mounted

had some fitment issues in the front due to the offsets. in order to have them sit flush on the hub the dust cap was removed and 5mm spacers were added. there still arent any dust caps. so until we figure out what to use or what to have machined i wont get to drive the car till spring
anyway enjoy.
big thanks to kyle and ryan for all the help!

I heard about your little "rub" issue. Hopefully you can find a tire combo that will work out better. Those things do look AWESOME though!

I have used 996 wheels at the front in the past, but also had to run without bearing dust caps. I can only assume that the 996 bearing caps are different than the 944/968 series. Has anyone figured out an alternate bearing cap, that takes up less space?

ya the rub issue in the back is due to having 4 inches of too much tire in the overall diameter. so i'll be selling them before i put any miles on the tires for the correct size and the rubbing will be gone plus w/ the proper size tires ill be able to lower it this summer w/o any issues!

They look great, the rears look like they need to be slightly further out (but it could just be the camera angle).

i ran 996 wheels on my 89 and it was either run spacers or run w/o caps- i ran w/ spacers but kept the caps on. You can always get alittle creative w/a 5lb hammer if they dont fit right. PUll the center caps on the wheels and see if they fit w/ the bearing caps on there.

the problem i'm having with the dust cap is it's too bulky even with the spacers for the wheel to sit flush on the hub, with or w/o the center caps. i'm currently using spacers that are touch bigger than 5mm on both sides and i still don't have the clearance i need to clear those dust caps. and with the current offsets, i cant push the wheels too much further out. they're about even with the fender as it is now with an et of ~50 with the spacers( started with a 55). has anyone ever fab'd a dust cap or modified the oem ones to fit behind a wheel? i was thinking of machining down the current dust caps so there's clearance from the wheels and most importantly, keeping dirt and what not out of the wheel bearings.
any thoughts?

when i sold the wheels WadeB bought them and put them on his turbo S. As far as i know he put some 6mm spacers on there and siliconed the caps on w/o the greasecaps.
