Well they are definitely already making them as those sizes have been available here for a while:

Anybody over in England making their way back to the US, that can bring me a set in their luggage?

I'll pay for dinner at Peter Lugers, and a pint, too!

Jason, have you run the car since tuning? I am curious about Autronix and how well it behaves. Its one of those mods that I need to look into eventually. One of the options is Motec. I need to determine which standalone I go with based on tuneability/support and expertise for such systems local to us.
What was your experience with this shop like? Did they outsource the tuning part or did they perform it themselves? Did they build a new harness or tweaked the one you currently have. I could have spoke to you in person about all this but I figure this might be information beneficial to others as well.
Thanks.

Raj,

No I haven't run the car yet...Actually, they are still tuning it and getting the final bugs out of it. I was anxious to see where they were, so they did a few runs for me and that's what we're looking at.

They are still tuning it to get the A/F numbers more stable; and we've agreed to bring the boost down to around 15.5. My wife and son still drive the car at DE's too, and I don't need them smoking the tires while punching it in 3rd gear...or something like that.

Paddock Performance does do their own work, and they are really comfortable with Autronix. They must have at least 15 cars running Autronix. They did go with a new harness; mostly because it's such a simple solution..fewer wires running around and more options available too. Working off the Haltech harness would have been a can of worms.

They've been great to work with, and I highly reccommend them...Of course I may be biased because they have been so nice to work with.

Just wondering why the run was stopped at 5500 rpm. It looks like you were still making power even though the torque was really falling off. What are you using for boost control? It looks really erratic above 4400. Otherwise those are some really impressive numbers.

They set the rev limiter a little low...I've asked them to bring it to 6,500 RPM.

Yeah, it still needs a bit of fine tuning.

Thanks for the comments,

Jason

Nice Hp!!
When they are less conservative with boost onset timing the torque will come up also.

Jason: Are you using an electronic boost controller? I can't wait to see the 6500 rpm pull.

Jason,
Are you using the Autronic SM4 or one of the other models? Lots of neat capabilities on the SM4 such as built in traction control, flat shift, gear dependant boost control, totally configurable triggering system, excellent software capabilities like an external dash output, autotune, etc. This is the ECU I am planning to use on my 3.1L.

That torque curve is really odd. For the 8v head it should come on earlier and stay flat for at least 2k (if the right turbo is used and the management is set up right.)
The changes in slope are strange, I would have almost guessed that the 16v head with variocam was still attached!
Something ain’t right, the peak torque number looks good but there should be tons more area under the curve.

Do you have any details on the turbo?

They're good prices too Paul. We would pay at least 10% more for them here.
