You are correct, at that point ST had the VR Stage 3, and lots of Magical Pixey Dust too. And let's not forget, this is an engine that has a stock bottom end for years too. Fact, no BS. Then again, he is known for pushing the envelope, and running high boost levels. And yes Hos, the injectors were 72 lb.

Forgot to add:
72lb injectors
VR Wasted Spark

What recomendations are there to run 400rwhp w/ pump gas?

We'll have the dyno #s shortly after the intercooler arrives

No.
If anything its a bit lean for pump gas and 21psi of boost.

Easy dude, I have a lot of Magical Pixy Dust from both VR and Chris White. And I will guarantee it will make my car perform very, very well. Hey, once I had John's stuff on my old car, it was a night and day difference with respect to every characteristic, so there! Let alone his Wasted Spark.

Mike: With the bit more mods he has, he should be at least where you were at. Thats my two pennies.

Rogue

Just to correct...it was racing fuel @ 21 psi

EGTs were at 800C in the infield and 850-875C on the straightaway (basically 3rd and 4th gear)

Look at the dyno charts, they are posted on the web site as sent by customers (no BS factor!!!).
For each 1psi boost, you should gain approx 12-15rwhp. Simple math.
Head work, intake, intercooler all change the outcome (some good, some bad).
ST did a 407rwhp at high boost, but he had a badly made test-pipe creating LOTS of backpressure.
DR Dynamics, 21psi boost on pump gas is NOT ADVISED - on this car, 400rwhp on pump gas is not happening!!!

Juan can read EGTs on his car. The timing used is for safe boost and acceptable EGTs. The iea of running 20+psi on pump gas requires timing retard, which will cause the EGTs to rise where it's no longer safe. Those doing a dyno run at high boost, or a quick burst on the street with timing badly retarded will not last a 20min session on the track as the high EGTs will hurt them.

People spend lots of money on their cars, why not use better octane (or water injection) when they are pushing it? Simple insurance!!!!
When on full race gas, make sure to use the race maps - externally selectable. Also, shoot for 11.8:1 AFR.. It will give you the largest area under the torque curve.

Good, I wouldn't want to see someone blow an engine because of a lean condition.

John, I was thinking more on the line of making the engine breathe more efficiently...probably thinking on the Garrett side.

I was wondering if somebody has had experience with swapping to these (mostly thinking on the hotside)

BTW...do you have available the turbo map for the Stage III? just to know were the engine is.

With 21psi on something higher than pump (additives or race gas), you should see 400+whp depending on your fuel system (injector size), and hopefully assuming you aren't using a stock cam.

We are assuming 21psi.
We have a vitesse wg and the profec B is on hight boost on the max.
On the gauge is +/- 1.5 bar (graddy)
