Right on, just don't go to UGA. Otherwise, you will have to always lose in jacksonville every year. HEARD.

You can always ask me questions about the engine drop. It isn't that bad. I have a good list of tools you could use as well. If you were closer, I would help you out.

But, my main point is that unless you are just building this crazy street car for whatever reason, invest in some seat time before you get the big turbo.
I hear you. I've been there when cars where coming up the backhill and got air lift, and flipped end over end. It can be a very scary track. And I do agree with you, if he does decide to do DEs, first and foremost he needs to invest in being educated, learning, and refining his driving skills. And trust me, with a 944T on his second lap, I will guarantee you he will "not" be flat out on the downhill leading to the front straight. I'm so confident on that, I am willing to wager my Rennlist Lifetime Membership on it, how's that sounds!

Anyway, sorry for the OT Ryan, back to your engine quest...

Ive seen it done once thanks to Josh B, Campeck, and Aribob with that beautiful red car they parted. It looks like something I could do in a weekend with some extra hands. It only took them a couple hours but it wasnt their first and they had a nice big lif to work with...

How far south????

Central Florida???? Redbone Garage. Orlando. Top guys just about in the state. Owners from all over the state have them check/tune/build their motors for Rolex/Sebring etc. The owner also usd to be partners with Alex Job back in the day. So they do tons of race and street stuff.

A reubild??? 1-2 months tops. Full build, maybe 6 months tops.

Im running 255's and I just bought these wheels! I think that maybe once I make some extra cash ill have 2 custom ones made for the back about an inch wider. I love the classy look of the cup wheels and I like the 17s for size.

I realize traction may be an issue but its not too hard to resist using the throttle like a binary switch - also keep in mind im not doing racing in this car anytime soon.

17's are great, its what I'm running. You might want to look at a 285 to be on the safe side which will fit perfectly on a 10 inch wheel. You'll need all the contact you can get!

I have a 9 inch wheel... 7.5 and 9 I believe. Im sure a set of replica cups in 10's for the back wouldnt set me back too far, but after some of the choices ive made for this engine, I can't do it right now..

I hear you on that one. The 9s should be okay for when you're breaking the motor in but you'll def want some more meat out back. You're keeping your full interior & all window glass right?
