Travis at Rennbay gave me this idea. Grey 'hot rod' primer from Duplicolor and spray a coat of clear polyurethane from MinWax (Available at Home Depot). You can get it in the wood finishing isle. The polyurethane is really tough and resists grime, oil, grease..etc.

I am gonna sit back and watch, and let Brian lead this one. This should be interesting. As of right now, he is hands down the King of Bling. But sooner or later I'll catch up, big time. Watch out baby!!

HOLY ****

MRNasty951 - you are my hero!

I always wonder why guys don't polish more........ there is more aluminum on these cars just begging to be polished....
cross member, etc, etc.
figured I was just a wierdo for thinkin about it.

only thing is I have flashbacks of earlier days when I was hired to polish out a showtruck on a bi weekly basis. Owner would drive it a few weeks. Then I would spend 20-30 hours cleaning and polishing out everything that needed it. He drove it all over the country to shows... after a season of that I vowed to never have that much polished **** unless I could afford to pay somebody to keep it all clean and polished.

You haven't see anything yet. You don't know Brian the way I do. Wait until you hear or see the things he's going to do. He's a nut job, but my pal!

The only problem with the Poly from Minwax is it will start to amber or yellow pretty bad with time.

I used a dremel tool and if you go to eastwood you can buy these cone like sanding wheels they use them for intake and head porting! As far as sanding and polishing...I used a 3 inch da sander and 3 inch polisher for compounding and polishing!! I don't know if you have a compressor these are all air tools I'am talking about accept the dremel.
