Hey you guys, im looking at getting a second 944, but this one is going to be a turbo. I'm going to be talking with the mechanic that has worked on this car for the past two ownerships, but what should i look for when i'm test driving it. All i really know is that its got around 120k miles. I'll try to find out when the belts were last changed as well, but any advice from the pros? thanks - Steven

 

Is it modded? If so what mods?

 

According to "jeff" over the phone, he said its got an upgraded chip, front suspension, bigger rear tires, strut bar, and thats about all i can remember. The car overall sounded like it was in rather good condition. Maybe jeff is on the forums, he's got 2 944's. In general though, whast should i be looking for. Thanks again- Steven

 

all your normal 44 stuff plus look for smoke when you get up on boost, strange noises like exhaust leaks and slipping clutches...
