My original post might be misleading - the £75 + shipping is just for the trim pieces. This is just an alternative to spending $1300 for the factory trim, but you would still need to buy the TRS wing from AIR.

Well, I just emailed stuart (the guy from ebay) and he quoted me 140GBP (including shipping!!) for just the 3 trim pieces (excluding the stock 968 replica spoiler) That comes to about $325CDN, which is significantly cheaper than ordering the OEM hardware from the dealer.

Now I just need to decide if I want to do the 968TRS wing, or a modded 996 GT2 wing.

Does Stuart from the UK make a TRS replica? His bridge + trim kit sells for ~$198 USD + ship pretty regularly.

If there could be a ~$450-500 shipped to end user cost on TRS reps including trim, I would bet we could get a dozen or more orders without much effort. Group buy from Stuart, he bulk ships to one location in the US, then one person ships everything out individually.

Can one of you guys that have already started communication with Stuart@UK ask if he can do a TRS replica? I don't want to barrage him with another new person emailing.

I'm guessing his price, including shipping across the pond, would be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than AIR.

Count me in! I have contacting him with much success.

Did anyone ask about TRS replicas? I guess I could ask him, but I'd be a bad person to organize things because I'm on the west coast which would raise the price for everybody.

If we can get out for under a grand total, I'm in too. I have a stock 86 951 hatch. I know he sells a 5" bridge as well, but it appears to be non-adjustable. Just FYI.

Folks,

Check out this thread on Pelican. This guy in WA state may be ready to take on a 968 wing project:

Some examples of his work:

P/S. I am not affliated with the seller.

I "ebay emailed" the Stewart guy and didn't get a response. But I'm guessing if he doesn't make it already, it'd be a stretch to have him tool up to start making them just for us.

As for the AIR wing, $600+ is still too rich for my blood.

He'll reply. I bought hatch trim from him a month or so ago for my trs wing. Shipping was amazingly quick and the pieces arrived damage free. They do need some fitting and finish work, but thats not unusual for fg parts. You will also need to fabricate mounting attachments as there are none. I don't know about trs wings from him but he does make a 968 standard wing replica. You may be able to find pics on ebay uk, thats where I looked. Good luck.

Burma - do you have a factory TRS wing or an aftermarket one?

I've been communicating with him for a good 2 weeks now. He will not answer my questions reguarding a group buy. The best I could do was a shipment to the United States for 325USD (shipped). Very reasonable for a desired mod, but i'm low on funds @ the moment.

It would come primered.
