If anyone wants to add a cooler and keep the lineage intact, I have this oil cooler off a 95 Audi S6 I'll sell for $150 shipped. If you want to add another intercooler, you can have that for the same price. (shameless FS post)

since this was woken up again, I will use a setrab cooler as they make them in loads of nice sizes, some compare to the rx7 cooler, meaning long, flat and basicly a regular very high with mounted sideways.

theese looks like good candidates, but will do some more measurments.

Dimensions in inches
PART # A B C D
1-STD910 16 14-1/2 3 2 aprox $126
1-STD915 16 14-1/2 4-1/2 2 aprox $166
1-STD920 16 14-1/2 6 2 aprox $206

It looks like the rx7 cooler mounts up to the a/c condensor bolts, so does this mean you can only run the rx7 cooler if you've deleted the a/c?

Pics and a write up would be great.
i've been working on a similar project, either a large central cooler or twin ducted coolers on either side of the radiator. the only issue i see with a central cooler is that it could reduce clean air to the radiator by as much as 2/3's. twin coolers would require moving the brake cooling ducts to the fog light slots and moving slightly the coiled hard line for power steering, so either option has its pros and cons, below are a couple of concept images for twin coolers. i've mocked this up a couple of times now and am leaning towards twin coolers run in parallel. i'll post pics if i get this up and running by spring.

Twin setup (KISS) has been around for awhile and has been well tested.
Lindsey sells them.

beab, yes i have seen the kiss set up, this would be similar but different. pics are up now. i would replace the stock cooler for a 13 row mounted horizontally and mirror that on the drivers side. this set up has the coolers sitting lower with the bottom of the cooler lined up with the bottom of the radiator and the ducts running forward to the inlets on the front bumper.

Interesting, I would like to see more as the project proceeds.

when wireing in paralell will you do T or Y joints? how does pressure and flow distribution look for paralell vs serial?

my hope is that the single long cooler won't interfere to much with airflow for the radiator, and since oil is cooler it will get a tad bit less to do when cooling the turbo.

as for removing fogs' I need them since I've got plates on the car. and brakecooling is also needed. need more frontspace eh? will have a look and do even more measuremets.

setrab has M22 to -10 and -12 since the suggested BAT stuff is hard to get (at least here)

has anyone put a moroso oil accumulator into their system? I'm trying to find a spot to put a 3qt one, but it's 20 inches!

For the problem of using the brake duct vents for the oil coolers, you could switch over to the 968 brake cooling vents - they scoop up air from under the car and don't require ducts. Someone on here got some recently...

I plan to run -12 lines off the stock filter housing to a 'Y' splitter with -10 lines to each cooler and then back again, not sure how presure changes between a 'T' and 'Y' adapter but a 'Y' adapter must flow better. There are quite a few adapters required, i'll create a list once i have complete this project. Here are two diagrams of twin coolers in both series and parallel.
My car is both street and track, so i am looking for a clean solution to move the brake ducts up to the fog light slots, AIR has a pair on their web site, or as billthe3 suggests you could also use the 968 scoops.
