Default Suggestions for removing door rub strip???

the one that is on the outside of the door.

I've got the strip off but can't seem to remove the adhesive.

I've tried Goo Gone but it doesn't work.

Any suggestions short of a wire brush??

Thanks.

If is like the stone guard glue, let the 3m stuff work on the snotty stuff and scrape off with a plastic razor blade, and when it's all off, continue to use 3m but use big pencil eraser to get the remaining stuff off.
It took me about 7 hours to get it all off.

There is a tool that goes on a drill, in UK its called a "Caramac Wheel" Its like a yellow hard rubber ring that seems to remove tough adhesive and trim lines without dmaging paint work

I tried this on my car when I removed the trim and it just smeared it...messy. I think the adhesive porsche used on these is different than modern 2 sided tape. I ended up using lacquer thinner after failing with adhesive remover. Be cautious though if your paint is original thinner may damage it. Didn't matter to me as I was prepping for paint anyway. Took forever though, I said lots of bad words and almost decided to put them back on a time or two.

Thanks Guys !
