I have a friend who was suggesting mineral spirits with painters brushes (the brushes don't last terribly long). From my little experience, it works very well.. Don't use it on painted surfaces though

Castrol super clean isn't okay for painted surfaces, right? It'll take the paint right off, from what I hear..

In my experience, Varsol does a superior job compared to "consumer"
degreasers like Purple Power, Castrol Super Clean or Simple Green.

Purple Power. Its faded a bunch of old stains on my garage floor that have been there for 14 years and withstood everything else (and im fairly sure those stains just laughed at varsol as well at some point).

Purple Power has also worked great on the sundeck, sinks, etc. It took all the years of wax off the linoleum and all the grease and grime off the fume hood over the stove, both of which withstood everything else. Oh and its friendly on the skin and smells fine.

I've got this stuff called "super 11". it looks like neon-green kool aid, and when it hits something greasy it turns purple... let that stuff sit undiluted, for a little bit, and pressure wash... or scrub a little if it's being stubborn.

Varsol is a good call ---> Varsol Info

I personally though would still stick with Castrol Super Clean, or what Brian said, being Purple Power.
